Are there names on this list you don't recollect? If so, you're not alone. The Terrific Tracking Team has been trying for some time to decide who is an Alohan. Pictures of 361 Alohans appeared in the 1950 Chieftain and 37 were described as "camera-shy." An additional 5 names appeared on the Senior Check List of April 26, 1950, for a total of 403. However, the June, 1950 Commencement Program listed only 396 students in the class, of whom 7 had not been mentioned in the Chieftain or the Check List. It also appears that 2 students used two different surnames during their senior year! So how many of us were there? The number of Alohans thus seems to be somewhere between 389 and 407. The TTT believes that any of the extra 18 who want to consider themselves as Alohans should do so and be welcomed as part of our class.
